Marshalling

Help out at the grass roots of motorsport action, from a Gymkhana to the Rally of Wales.
All events need marshals to run. Our experienced marshals can show you how to get involved.

Many of us have never owned a competition car but have had great fun in the sport as marshals.
The Club sends a small team of marshals to several local events, like the Wyedean, Sunseeker and Abingdon Stages.

You can learn to use a start/finish clock or be a marshal waiting to assist with incidents on a nasty bend.
You can be a judge deciding whether that autotest car has actually hit that bollard, or not stopped astride a line.
You can wait in a dark lane in mid winter to give the crew of a 12-car event a time.
You can go to any event anywhere, offer your services and be a valuable part of that event.

(For me the Isle of Man was the best place, cheap package deals for marshals).

Safety training is provided by the MSA and you can be a registered marshal for the Rally of Wales.

Requirements are enthusiasm, reliability, and endurance for all weather conditions.
