The Kemble Targa Rally - Results
A fabulous and successful day yesterday for the club with the 2nd running of the Kemble Targa.
After a hard fought battle Bath Members Ben Griffin and Steve Conner came out on top with 5 secionds in hand from a hard charging Gavin Rogers. Full results are available at RallyRoots.
On Saturday the course was set up, with the start, finish and admin areas and an early start for the organisers on Sunday saw the day dawn a bit grey and cloudy but at least dry
Noise and scrutineering went according to plan, a quick drivers briefing held and we started on time with 56 starters, 4 non starters and concluded the 6 tests at approx 17:15 hours. I think we finished the event with 52 still running.
During the day the skies cleared and we were blessed with a warm and sunny day with a slight breeze
Wonderful weather, great sport and thanks to all the marshals and organising team for a very professional and well run event
I believe everybody enjoyed themselves, Especially the competitors with good feedback received after the event.
Remember the second serving of Targa at Kemble with the Cotswold Targa to be run on July 22nd, entries are already being received to don't delay and make sure you get your entry in early.
