AGM - Hinton Charterhouse - 24th Oct 2016

We have come to that time of the year for the next Annual General Meeting of Bath Motor Club to be held at the Rose and Crown Public House, Hinton Charterhouse, on October 24th 2015 at 20:00 hrs

This gives a chance to the current committee members to give an account of the running of the club over the last year, for questions from the floor to be asked and for a new committee to be elected

The AGENDA for the meeting, which gives the details of the meeting; venue and times, a NOMINATION PAPER for club members who want to stand for election to the club committee for the coming club year and a copy of the minutes from the 52nd AGM

Somerset Saunter - 9th Oct 2016

John Earl and Keith Wilson are organising the Somerset Saunter which will be a simple treasure hunt on a Sunday afternoon.

The route will be approximately 25 miles (taking approximately 2 and ½ hours to complete) and will be defined by a pre-drawn copy of an Ordnance Survey map – so no plotting to do.

The start and finish will be at Orchardleigh Golf Club in the Orchardleigh Estate near Frome on the A362 Buckland Dinham to Frome road.

Signing on 12 noon to finish at 2.30 pm for an excellent Orchardleigh Carvery Meal at 3 pm included in the entry fee.

Now the best bit -  Entry fee only £25 per crew of two .  What more could you ask for!  Extra passengers will only have to pay the cost of the meal of £8.95 per head.

Autumn Autotest - 25th Sept 2016

A big well done to Brian Sharpe for taking FTD in the road going micra. The sharp(e) showers helped offset the power and grip deficits to the fastest classes and a penalty free run all day took the award away from Bert Greenaway in his Bertone special by under 5 marks.

Carl Dale secured the fastest clubman award in his minisport special and a special mention must go the other clubmen who made up class E in the MX5's. I understand Sunday was Richard and John's first attempts at autotesting and only Ben's second and they seemed to have got the hang of it very well.

The final award winner was Steve Connor in the PCA class. Having agreed to double drive in Mike Burrow's Puma he got to grips with it quickly and took the class award.

A big thank you again to all of the marshals that made the event run smoothly. Over the coming weeks I'll be posting photos and videos of the event on the Autotest page.
