2019 Festival Targa Rally - Entries Open

Entries are now open for the 2019 Festival Targa Rally on Saturday 2nd March.

Following last year’s success we have maintained a large element of the route in darkness and finished a bit earlier. We have maintained around 36 miles of tests and given you the opportunity to re-group and re-fuel on two occasions.

The event is a round of the ASWMC Targa Championship of which competitors must enter in the National B class to be eligible for points.

Regulations and full details on how to enter are on the Festival Targa Rally page.

Winter 12 Car/ Jogularity - 1st February

Following on from the popularity of the Jogularity's that Jerry and Nick have organised this year, we want to invite crews to the next step in the Road Rallying experience. The same sort of thing, but at night!

To cater for all abilities, we are producing 4 sets of instructions (Jogularity, Marked Map, Novice and Expert) and you can select your type/difficulty on the entry form in advance.

Further details including how to enter, are available on the event page HERE.

Updated Calendar

The event calendar has been updated to include the 2019 dates for the Festival Targa, AutoSolos, Kemble Targa, Mendip Meander and Aquae Sulis.

Over the next year we are reintroducing two disciplines that have a strong history within Bath MC. We are running a two day AutoCross in June and a 12 car in Feb.

All the confirmed dates are available HERE.

Donation of £775 to GWAAC

During this year whilst running the Aquae Sulis Tour in which our entrants have given optional donations of £210 and to which the club had added an additional £340, resulting in a donation of £550 to the Great Western Air Ambulance.

A presentation was made on October 24th with a photo shoot at The Royal Crescent in Bath. Paul Hornby, an Aquae Sulis entrant with his 1949 HRG, Ian Cantoni, the GWAAC fundraising co ordinator and Keith Wilson with 1930 Riley Nine Biarritz took part.

During the year at various shows and other events that the club are involved in, we had surplus rally stickers and rally badges that were donated by Dick Pease on display. This raised an additional £225.08; making a total donation of £775.08.

Tabletop Rally - 16th January

Our annual Tabletop rally is the perfect way to dust off those maps and try your hand at rally navigating in a friendly (and stationary) environment.

A tabletop takes you through all of the different types of navigation you might see on a 12 car or scatter (Like our event on 1st Feb) whilst in the comfort of our club house at the King William Inn, Tunley.

Ahead of the tabletop a number of experts will be doing a quick teach-in to help show beginners the basic elements of navigation. This will start at 19:30.

Further details including how to enter, are available on the event page HERE.
