Fassi Bugatti Owners Club Classic Hillclimb Series
Before his season was cut short, Andy Cross enjoyed some of the Fassi BOC Classic Hillclimb rounds, for pre 1977 Saloons, in his Morris Minor « Bluebell »
Andy was surprised to win the Class first time out at Prescott in May, and even more shocked to go faster and win again in June, despite the handicappers attempts. It seems there’s life in the old Morris Minor yet!
In August Andy escaped hospital to compete at Gurston Down, thanks to Bath MC members Andy Grimm and other friends, and added some valuable points with a strong run up the Wiltshire hill, but entries in later rounds had to be cancelled thanks to a return to hospital.
Nevertheless, the three rounds results made it sixth at the season’s end in the Fassi Championship.
