This year’s Bath Summer AutoSOLO was held on Sunday 3rd August 2025. It was set to be a great event with a full entry of 55. The competition was fierce throughout the day, including a lot of first time solo drivers and juniors.
The weather started of bright before the heavens opened up during the morning, taking away what little grip there was first thing. The rain became intermittent, and cleared briefly over lunch, before a torrential downpour for the afternoon running.
Spirits were high regardless, and the event finished on time and with the sun shining for the awards ceremony.
It was really nice to see the future competitors getting out in the junior class. Motorsport UK recently changed the rules to allow entrants from the age of 13, and it was nice to be able to include a 13 year old in the competition for the first time, and I must say it was a very good drive, showing so much potential for the future.
Thanks must go to all officials and marshals, who dedicated their day voluntarily to allow competitors to have a day of Motorsport. I look forward to seeing everyone on the next AutoSOLO or Bath motor club event.
