Those of you who are classic and historic motor sport enthusiasts will have, no doubt, heard of the name of Nick Mason who has the most eye watering collection of wonderful motor cars that are used properly. Nick Mason's day job was as drummer for the Pink Floyd group and from the proceeds of that enterprise presumably the funds for this collection of cars has come from.
Nick Mason's motor car company is called Ten Tenths Ltd and they have a workshop just north of Cirencester where the cars are kept.
I have, for the last 18 months or so been working on getting a Bath Motor Club visit to the Ten Tenths workshop and have eventually succeeded in getting a date for this.
I have found a suitable lunch venue in the Green Dragon, Cockleford, near Cowley, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, GL53 9NW. The food is good and there is a large car park.
We will meet at The Green Dragon and 12 noon and I have booked a table for 16 people.
The Green Dragon is situated on the A435 travelling North from Cirencester and is signposted from the A435. The Green Dragon is about 6 to 7 miles from the Ten Tenths workshops.
As I anticipate that this visit will be popular it must be stressed that initially it must be for Bath Motor Club members only and on a first come - first served basis.
