Andy has been airing his 1959 998cc Morris Minor « Bluebell » a bit more lately this year, just to keep the wheels turning. He entered the Bugatti Owners Club Fassi Classic hillclimb championship’ in the class for pre ‘77 Saloon Cars. Amazingly, we came first in our Class at Prescott first time out a few weeks ago, which was very pleasing after missing out on wins on the circuits in recent years. Two lovely Bugatti wine glasses! Last weekend we improved our time further, and got another Class win, despite the tighter handicap. More nice glasses.
Having missed the start of the season, we are second in the Championship now. It will get harder, as we have to keep taking off more time than the class opposition, and the next round is at Harewood, when we have visitors so might not be contending for championship honours. But its great fun to throw the little blighter up these hills!
